Sharing the Good News!

Far too often we focus on the negative. Feedback to employees is too often about what went wrong. Reasons for not meeting customer expectations deadlines, sales budgets, in our mind at least, are too often the fault of the customer or things beyond our control.

This glass half full attitude and negative feedback is having a detrimental effect on the morale of the people around you and in turn their self worth and productivity.

Therefore, if you have good news share it frequently with your clients and staff. If you catch your team doing something ‘right’ or well let them know. That way, when you have the occasional bad news, it will be seen in context.
